FROM WHAT MATERIALS ARE OUR RAINCOATS MADE?
What makes our brand so unique when it comes to designing raincoats is the special materials we use. When you think of a raincoat, you would think of plastic materials, but a plastic raincoat is far from stylish and comfortable.
At Rain Couture we choose the fabrics that we like to see produced into a beautiful stylish raincoat. This can be wool, cotton, denim and polyester….etc.
Then, a waterproof coating is pressed mechanically under high temperature and high pressure on the fabric. This treatment allows us to use all (fashion) fabrics for our coats. In addition, the coats will receive a DWR treatment (DWR stands for "Durable Water Resistant Treatment") on the outside.
Rain Couture stands for multifunctionality and aesthetics. A waterproof and stylish raincoat that you can add to your daily wardrobe and at the same time it protects you against all kinds of weather conditions.
Every jacket is waterproof, windproof, has a breathable coating and with the added air ventilation holes under the armpits, you will experience ultimate comfort.
The jackets don’t feel like an average raincoat and therefore they give you the opportunity to wear them every day, knowing that when it’s going to rain, you are completely protected.
Furthermore, several handy accessories have been added to our coats. For example, with most models the hood can be zipped off to create a slightly more formal appearance. The hood can also be adjusted at three points and the hood does not block the view.
At most (woman) coats we put a belt or cord at the waist, so you can accentuate the waist.
The 'reversible' bodywarmer makes a Rain Couture jacket wearable in all four seasons. The bodywarmer fits in every model and can be fastened with buttons. It gives extra warmth to the jacket and so you can continue to wear the thinner jackets in the winter.
Other nice details that have been added are the phone pocket on the inside of the jacket with an opening for your headphone and in each right pocket a cord is attached for easily fastening your key.
We also used a two way zipper, giving you the opportunity to open the zipper from bottom to top while cycling.
Obviously, the Netherlands is a rainy and cycling country, so it’s our aim to design a beautiful product that would make both a lot more enjoyable.
The name Rain Couture says it all, it’s a jacket with a tailored and nicely shaped fit and good quality. At first glance you wouldn’t guess that it’s a raincoat and that was exactly our intention when designing the collection.
We hope our designer raincoats will be loved by you and form the foundation of your wardrobe for many years to come.
Enjoy the rain!
